This kind of snobishness is exactly the reason why I hate hanging around with open source people.
The icon is a marketing nightmare. It sucks. The answer isn't to at first contradict anyone who brings it up, and then follow up by sticking your fingers in your ear, saying "lalalala I can't hear you". This is pretty much why Mickey-softs inferior products, inferior though they certainly are, yet control the market. Because people CAN actually use them and the community there is actually helpful and LISTENS TO USER INPUT without a holier than thou attitude.
