I'm using FireBug 1.6.1 and from what I've read images (whether from cache or transferred) should now appear in the Net tab.
I'm not actually seeing any of the cached images after reloading a given page. Here's my process: 1) Load a given web page (Use SHIFT-CTRL-R to force update the page). On the current page I'm testing I see 66 images downloaded from the server (using the image filter in the Net tab). 2) I then refresh the page again this time allowing the cache to be hit (CTRL-R). Only 3 images appeared with the Net tab. The 3 images that appear are ad images (fresh content). The other 60-something images that I see on the page do not get logged in the Net tab. BTW, I am seeing light grey highlighting that denotes items that have been loaded from the BF Cache. One other thing to note. There does not appear to be an easy way to determine what files are being loaded from cache. Yes, the BF Cache items are highlighted grey. How about a different shade of grey for all the other cached items. Currently, the way which I am assuming demarks a file as loaded from cache is if I highlight the file size of a file in the net tab and I do not see the "Total Received / Total Sent" text. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
