This is good to hear Honza. I very much appreciate that my somewhat
venting emotive post wasn't shot down as trolling or something
similar.

At the risk of labouring the point, what I didn't mention is the
frequent apparently good news that comes from the Mozilla Community,
like this:

http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2011/12/20/major-javascript-enhancements-make-firefox-speedy-up-to-30-faster/

I want to revel in this great work however as someone who has had
Firebug almost permanently installed since the early days, I pretty
much do not seem to see a great deal of performance gain no matter how
much hard work the Mozilla Community puts in. Just some of the
milestones that seem to have gone by without a big impact on Firebug
users were:

TraceMonkey
Hardware Acceleration
The post-Fx4 MemShrink GC fix

and now

Type Inference

The GC fix really did work however I still get all-too-frequent but
erratic memory leaks that grow and grow even when the browser is just
idle.

Now MemShrink has delivered another big improvement: adaptive memory
management on Windows.

I guess it's unfair of me to suggest that each and every one of these
major Firefox improvements has been neutralized by Firebug but
sometimes it does feel like that.

Ok, I guess I've made my point.

Keep up the great work team, I really hope this problem can be knocked
on the head and Firebug will then move forward in leaps and bounds
hopefully!
