Sorry for the extremely late reply and sorry to say, but unfortunately Firebug Lite is currently on hold because work is concentrated on Firebug and there are no free resources for Lite at the moment. Also I fear there's nobody of our developer team having an IE version less than 8 anymore.
You know that I don't use Ie6 by choice. > That's not an excuse for not to fight for IE6's extinction. There is definitely no reason anymore to use or support IE6 in my eyes. For web developers it's a PITA and for users it's not comfortable and doesn't offer the features of more recent browser versions. Anyway, if you really want this to be fixed, you should create an issue for it <http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/entry>, so it's not getting lost.
