I have trouble too with the Firebug icon, using 1.10.0b2 in Nightly. I put the icon on the add-on bar, but there is just a space where a gray bug should be.
If I click this space, Firebug opens, and I get an orange bug. I have tried the quoted link and other stuff, but no love.
