Question

Good Morning All,   I have a question.  I have a server up with a valid IP address 126.233.x.x.  If I telnet to the box via this IP address I can get in ok.  If I try to telnet to it via the name of the machine it tells me it can not find it.  WHY.  I thought that once a box can be seen it should be seen no matter what? I am sorry for the dumb question, but I am new to this firewall setup.   Thank you again. Steven
