The past few days, I've seen messages that should have apparently gone to
the list come instead directly to me (see below.) Anyone else see this?
Is this a case of a broken mailer out there somewhere?

Even stranger, it appears that the messages have gone through the list
system, since the standard list footer message has been added (again, see
below):

Subject: Security clasifications??

Hi,

How do you classify information, hardware and software with respect to
security so that
it will be simpler to inter grade information, hardware and software.
An example:

Information : AAA Very sensitive : A1
Hardware: ABC Not secure: B1
Hardware: DEF Secure: A1
software : NT Not secure: B2
software: UX Secure: A1

Thus Information: AAA can not be used with Hardware: ABC and Software :
NT
But
Can be used with hardware: DEF and Software: UX Because it have the same
level of
security classification.

Are there such standards or not ?

Thanks Pieter
