1) the web site was security related
2) how do you know the same thing won't happen to you?
3) ~"All that is necessary for evil to win, is for the good guys to stand by
and do nothing."
4) The only response that Harvard will understand is for a wide variety of
unaffiliated (sp?) people to email / write / call them and ask what happened
and why.

5) I find it interesting that the antionline web site quotes ken williams as
saying "have now lost it all because some as***le named John Vranesevich is
able to make a quick phone call" (The asterisks are my own replacement, the
vaunted antionline site with all the discussion about family and decency
included the original letters.), but the attrition.org site just says
"have now lost it all because John Vranesevich and a few of his IRC friends
are able to make quick phone calls". I am forced to wonder which one is
accurate???

6) I also find it interesting that a search at http://www.harvard.edu:8765/
(search link from http://www.harvard.edu) on "Ken Williams" and on
packetstorm both show no hits. It's not much of a press release if it can't
be found.

I must be confused here. Isn't this supposed to be a technical
forum?
It should not be a forum to air personal grievances. The IETF mail list
just went through something similar, resulting in several subscribers
dropping themselves from the address list and the creation of a
technically focused mail group.
