Yes but bear in mind the amount of GNU/FSF software available out
there - everything you need to make a 'better than stock Solaris' box - all
you need is a compiler, which is free, and as for compatability
for using Linux specific programs, although I personally havent
used it yet, Lxrun is available for Solaris 7 x86 platforms
to allow Linux apps to run natively.
