Mike, you're part of the problem (no offense intended).

If it wasn't for 'hackers' (whatever that means these days), the whole
'computer security industry' would be in the dark ages.  No one can truly
call themselves a security professional without understanding how systems
are exploited/compromised so (s)he can guard against those attacks.
Sometimes that means hacking a little code to verify that there is a
problem.  Once a flaw is discovered, it is the responsibility of anyone who
is truly a 'professional' to share that knowledge with others so the overall
level of security can be improved.

I didn't notice a corporate title in your .sig, but I sincerely hope it
doesn't contain the word 'security' in it anywhere.

NOTE:  Words or phrases in single quotes have so commonly misused in the
