That would probably be my choice as well (run DNS on another platform).
However, BIND for NT seems to run much better than MS-DNS--I could never
get the Microsoft stuff to work.

Disclaimer:  This was on service pack 3--for all I know it has been fixed.
(Does anyone know?)
