I can't say anything about the PIX specifically, but I have had issues with 3C905
cards with older drivers installed in Cisco Catalyst switched environments.
Since the PIX is a glorified/securified router, those same issue could possible be
applied here.
The latest/greatest drivers from 3Com fixed my issues...
