(non pix related)

I've had what seems to be hardware-related problems with 3c905C
after 3com switched from Lucent chips to Broadcom chips. I've seen
oddball stuff like bit flipping errors occuring only on certain
data strings. I don't know if this is a receiver or transmitter
problem though.

FYI: If bit flipping occurs on the same data string all the time,
the result will for instance be that you can never download
certain files no matter what server you download them from.
I know from experience :-(

I'm very disappointed to see that 3com are having these problems.
I've always associated 3com with fairly high standard, but after
all the problems with the 905 series - the 905A that just plain
sucked, problems with speed negotiation in a lot of models, the
recent crap chipsets - I just don't know any more.

Positive high volume experiences with other products in
multiple environments over a long period of time is welcome :-P
