Removing attachments from email

Any thoughts on something that runs on LINUX that can strip attachments 
from email based on the file type?

Looking at the latest virus based on VBS, it seems silly to me to let any 
VBS files onto my network -- we never use them. Similarly, if someone wants 
to send me an .EXE, they'll have to find another way other than email -- or 
call ahead first.

Any thoughts?
