You don't need to worry about NetBEUI -- the @home routers won't
forward it anywhere. It should actually be dropped right at your cable
modem.
As for security -- the Linux/BSD box is a great idea. If you'll only
use the 3 PC's, and add no more, I'd recommend downloading the home
version of GNATBox, for a simple and secure FW.
