I've used gig interfaces with the PIX-520. It works fine,
although you definitely want to use the latest version of
code.
Supposedly Nokia is going to have gig interfaces around the
end of the year. I was told November, but I would be surprised
if they meet that.
Note that PIX is a bad choice for any sort of dynamic security
environment. The administration of it is horrible (and I'm
a fan of command-line interfaces). However if you want to set
a security policy initially and then hardly ever touch it, it
works fine.
In any other case Nokia/Checkpoint is much much better than PIX,
in my opinion.
