Ben (aka Aquaboy),

As you can see from my response to Fred... I'm not asking you to do my
homework; I've already done most of it... and I thought I was asking a
specific question... i.e. Is there anything out (papers, books, sites, etc)
there that discusses the history and development of firewalls and that can
be referenced?

I expect ALOT of conflicting viewpoints... it's a list. Everyone has his or
her own opinion, that's what makes life on this planet so interesting.
However, what makes it worthwhile is that usually you learn something of
value, you meet someone who inspires you, and people are mostly pleasant
about it along the way.

I believe I have answered your other questions in my response to Fred - if I
haven't please let me know. And this "paper" is not going to be something
that I would share here... b/c it will not go in-depth enough to likely
merit a glance by most of the "experts" here. Maybe someday when I'm done
this program - I'll re-visit it and go into it in the depth that is it truly
due.

For now... there are others out there that have done a pretty good job of
addressing this topic in both response and in having written something about
it. See other posts that address this.

OBTW dolphins and piranhas don't swim in the same waters, except the river
or fresh water dolphins (also known as the pink dolphins) usually found in
the Amazon, and even then dolphins are at no threat from them. In fact the
piranhas are often lunch for the dolphins (not the other way 'round)... but
then again this is not a list about dolphins... it's a list about
firewalls. And while it is likely that I know more about dolphins, I'm here
to ask questions about firewalls.
