SQL 7.0 through a firewall

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect to a MS SQL 7.0 server through
a firewall?  I need to register a server in Enterprise Manager over the
Internet.  I have opened up TCP/UDP 1433 but I can not connect.  I can
connect using Query analyzer but not with Enterprise Manager.  Can this be
done?
