What?? Of course both Unix & M$ Win2k allow multi-homing on a single
interface. For example with Solaris on an Ultra box, you'd do:
/sbin/ifconfig hme0:1 208.240.154.225 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
where hme0 is the alias for your primary interface. Bam, can't get more
efficient then that!
One way to do it on M$ Win2k:
start button -> Network and dialup connections -> Local Area connection
-> properties -> Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) -> Advanced -> type in your
multihomed IP address and then click on the okay button.
Then you might have to reboot, you might not :-)
