I have one AIX box on my entire network, and it's mission-critical
function is to rack up seti points for me. :-)
I guess I could SSH over there, read the man page for AIX'es ifconfig,
then ifconfig up a virtual address for it, but then it would probably
better and more educational for you to SSH over to your AIX box(es),
read the man page, then try ifconfig'ing a virtual address for yourself.
If you get stuck after that, you're welcome to email me offlist.
As for the NT, er.. Win2k box, if you run into problems, you can always
buy an anchor on Ebay (this one is a beauty:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=553160019 )
securely tie with some stout rope, and send it somewhere that it will be
useful :-)
Sorry, I couldn't resist that one!
