Hi guys,
I'm new to this list, but have been following it for the last month.
I have a question about a Pix i have here from a client. It's giving
some strange problems. It is a PIX 515-UR with 6 ports.
They have also another PIX 515 only this one has only 2 ports.
Following is the situation:
They replaced the 2 ports PIX with the 6 ports and after they did that
somehow transfers are cutoff with no apparent reason. For example when you
FTP to a server behind the firewall, everything seems to go well untill
all of sudden data transfer stops. The log file then shows that PIX thinks
the file is stored on the FTP server while in fact its not yet complete.
What i then did was i used the config from the OLD Pix firewall, on the NEW
Pix.
This way i could see if it was a problem with the config. But the problem
still persists. (Both configs are identical)
I was thinking it is a problem with the firmware (4.4), what do you guys
think?
The problem is i don't have CCO account, and cannot access new firmwares, i
don't
know if it is illegal, but if someone out there has the 5.3 firmware in bin
format
could you please send it? (If it's not illegal ofcourse)
