Title: Gauntlet e-ppliance query

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I have tried doing the following, but I guess I am missing out on a few steps and so I am not getting the desired results.  I would be really nice if you could send me step by step instructions on doing the same.

I tried the following
But that dosen't help either.

thanks again,

Anuradha

you'll need to setup up packet filters (and NAT if you don't have routable addresses) to pass this type of traffic. you'll need to set up a pair of forward rules for each, dns and icmp, for the traffic coming in and the traffic going out on their respective interfaces.

Subject: Gauntlet e-ppliance query

Hi,

I have a Gauntlet e-ppliance 300 5.5  and I want to configure ICMP and DNS in this box.   While the 6.0 version has a separate plug proxy for DNS and other services, the version I am using does not allow this.  I have tried fiddling around in the GUI, but couldn't find a solution. Can anyone throw some light on this please?

regards.

Anuradha
