I would definitely check that out again. $74k for an IP330 is ridiculous.
The only possible way it could get that high is if they were also adding in
a support contract and software licensing. Are you sure you were speaking
directly to Nokia or was it a reseller? Do you remember who it was that
quoted you that price? If anyone else quotes a price that outrageous then I
would get a breakdown of what the line item charges are.
I'll be the first to say that Nokia support is worth the money and you may
not be able to get away from certain software licensing details but you
should at least know what you're paying for. I can guarantee that $74k isn't
just for the hardware alone. I also agree with a previous reply about this.
Start shopping around and find a dealer/reseller/Nokia sales rep that will
give you the straight skinny on pricing. The person you spoke with sure
isn't.
