For reference, most ISPs are selling additional _routable_ IPs for each home
PC.
This would require, for example, placing the cable / adsl modem on a hub
which is
attached to all the computers. This is not a secure configuration, but a
simple one
for a lot of people. Its too bad they don't just resell personal firewall
appliances
that have NAT.
