pptp is not secure enough....
i tend NOT to allow vpn internally or from outside....
( guess just me being nuts-o )
( ssh-only... from inside or outside...
for firewall options... and vpn options... hire an outsider
for a day of consulting/installing...
- if anything breaks.. blame them ???
the right firewall is one that will implement what the company
security policy says it should do and what it disallows

and one that the "firewall admin" can maintain or be held accountable
and fired or "shot" :-) if its not doing what it should do....
be sure to "tighten" the firewalls as best you can...
