RE: unsubscribe

This brings up a question I always want to ask.   Mailman will intercept these mis-directed requests and act on them.  Why don't people switch to mailman or encourage their mailing list software authors to do the same?
 
People in general are confused by mailing lists....why not make it wasy on everyone?
