Vinod,
Windows Media Player uses TCP port 1755. Allow this from your internal network to the Internet and it will work. As far as I know you cannot get WIndows Media Player to use UDP. If you want a product to use UDP try RealPlayer. Regards, Jeffery Gieser hi there.i am new to this list and also a relative newbie to firewalling.i have a very basic firwall, the main function of which is masquearding.i have used ipchains. i am unable to play windows media from my internal network on udp.it works on tcp. in my rules i havent blocked any udp traffic out.so i dont know what i can do to get my media player to work.do i need to specially enable some ports?(i havent blocked any so confused). any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Vinod _______________________________________________ Firewalls mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnac.net/mailman/listinfo/firewalls
