When I login outside of X, at the terminal/console/whatever-it's-called, with fish as my default shell, $PATH is missing /usr/kde/3.5/bin and /usr/sbin
To reproduce this: 1. become root 2. Make fish your default shell: usermod -s /usr/bin/fish your_user_name 3. exit (out of root) 4. shutdown KDE/Gnome and X, so that you're in text mode (console, terminal, whatever it's called) with a login prompt 5. Login as your_user_name 6. at the fish prompt: echo $PATH ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
