since the last few hours i manage to crash fish semi-reliable.
this is still the version 1.21.10-1 from debian unstable, backported to
ubuntu.

ocaionally fish just crashes silently, other times i also get messages
like:
*** glibc detected *** realloc(): invalid next size: 0x080ab6a0 ***
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x080afb40 ***

it mostly happens when i paste something with the mouse, but also at
other times, unfortunately it seems rather random, so i can't say what
exactly triggers it.

fortunately i figured out how to get screen to keep the window (and even
restart the shell) so that i was able to see the above messages without
having to change my setup (fish as the default shell for screen)

if you have any suggestions how i can help to track this down (running
strace, gdb?) i am willing to try, i just don't have much experience
with these tools

greetings, martin.
