According to fish convention (borrowed from csh, but sometimes used on Bourne shells as well), exported variables are in upper case, unexported in lower case, so that should be $fish_version. Also, I noticed that csh uses the name $version, so to keep compatibility with at least one shell class, that might be a better choice. Other than that, it sounds good to me. > > greetings, martin. > -- > cooperative communication with sTeam - caudium, pike, roxen and unix > offering: programming, training and administration - anywhere in the world > -- > pike programmer travelling and working in europe open-steam.org > unix system- bahai.or.at iaeste.(tuwien.ac|or).at > administrator (caudium|gotpike).org is.schon.org > Martin Bähr http://www.iaeste.or.at/~mbaehr/ -- Axel ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
