I press * once, and I can still type. When I press the second * (to make **) it also freezes for me. I see the CPU usage for that fish process spike quite high. Even after a minute I cannot interact with that terminal. I'm using xterm. I don't have another term to test with, but I could get some. I should have a default installation with this user.
