I also tried.
I'm using gnome-terminal on Ubuntu 8.10.
When I was input as **, fish freezed it.
Backtrace at this time.
It did not freeze it when the number of files was little.
However, it seems to freeze it in the place with the directory with a
lot of numbers of files.
