Well, I do know that when I drop to fish from vim (with :!fish) it messes up
when I exit the shell:

 ~> ^D

Goodbye
Job 1, 'vim' has stopped
~> fg
Send job 1, 'vim' to foreground

shell returned 1

Press ENTER or type command to continue


Just a minor annoyance, for me anyway.
