Looks like one of the latest fish updates changed its behaviour when
traversing through paths. What I'm doing very regularly is to type ..
followed by the tab key which completed with a / so that I could
continue with one character of a subdirectory to get to the list of
candidates easily.
This has changed. Now, when I type .. tab, I get a list of potential
commands that contain 2 periods in their name, e.g. perl5.26.1
Is that an intentional change or did this happen by accident? Is there a
way I could configure the previous behaviour?
