Almost slipped by without my notice. The big day was March 29, 1998,

That is quite an accomplishment. I just looked back at the old
messages from the beginning (yes I have them all the way back to
Steve's first message) Looks like I was the third person to send a
message to the list. Steve of course was first & Glen
MacGillivray was second. Not sure if Glen is still with us or not.

Eight years ago today there were about twenty subscribers, and many
are still with us. Current subscribers Mike May, Dave McWethy,
Cynthia Madden, Laura Skejenna, Jean Ernest, Ursula & Brian Jensen,
Marsha Jo Hannah, Gail Russell, Bill Coli, Suzan Johnson, DeeAnna
Weed, Sam & Sue Banks, Glen MacGillivray had all sent messages to
the list by April 1, 1998. There may have been a few lurkers also,
but I think it's remarkable that so many have stayed around so long.
From that original handful, the number of subscribers has grown to
708 as of this evening.
Hopefully everyone will want to continue to hang around the virtual
kitchen table for the next eight years.
