Why on Earth do folks in California keep a blanket on a Fjord, and keep them in a stall? My Fjords haven't had blankets on for years, and aren't kept in stalls. AND I live in Alaska! I can understand blanketing when they are clipped as did Lisa Pederson with her Fjords clipped for the Arizona CDE. Of course my Fjords are hairy, and a little overweight, but they run around in their large corral every day and are reasonably fit. It has been a cold winter here in Fairbanks and a cold March, and my Septic system finally bit the dust! The leach field is apparently frozen so I had to have the tank pumped. The frost is still going deeper even though the weather is getting warmer, and folks are having more freeze-up problems as we head into spring. Oh Well...It was sort of expected!
