I have been asked to take over preparation and management of the Fjord Extravaganza, which will be held on Saturday Night (Oct. 14th) during the 25th NFHR Anniversary Celebration.
Does your horse do tricks? Do you drive your horse, ride it in a special way or can you think of something neat that folks might find entertaining? We are looking for talented fjord horse and rider/driver/handler combinations who would enjoy developing an act to be part of the show, which we are calling:
An Evening of Dancing Fjord Horses (unless someone can think of a more attractive, descriptive name!)
The focus is to showcase the talent and versatility, in various disciplines, of our fjord horses in a musical venue with a thought of entertainment in mind.
We would ask that you be willing to submit an idea of what you would like to do in the performance, along with video tape of you and your horses' talents. There will be plenty of help available for ideas for choreography, costume, music, etc..
We have submissions from several acts already, including two riding quadrilles and a driving quadrille. Here is a golden opportunity to have some fun and to show off, in a great venue with an atmosphere of fun, without the stress of having to worry about competing and earning a ribbon!
