One of the key ingredients is bovine colustrum. I have used it on horses that were recovering from huge bacterial infections, like when my mare Idelle had the willow twig jam into her navicular bursae, and then had the streetnail surgeries, and then when another mare Alycia had a huge bout of Pigeon Fever early in her pregnancy, and was very, very debilitated by it. In both instances it really did the trick. A friend's vet in N Calif recommended it highly, and I see why. My vets here were impressed w/ it enough to ask me about it. It is not cheap, but then, I found it to be great stuff, and "great stuff" is worth it IMO. This leads me to ask - is Gus OK?? Hope so...
