I wonder how Fjords react to predators? There are bobcats and coyotes hunting
in the pastures where I board -- Brigid Wasson

I KNOW we must have had this discussion before but it intrigues me and maybe there are new folks on the list that wonder about this... Fjords seem to be fearless! We live in a large open mountain basin and our Fjords roam free on this ranch. We once saw about eight of them aggressively chasing a very large Moose right on through and out of sight ! Yet again we have seen them comingle with wild Elk, Deer, and wild Turkeys?

I wish I had a video of the Moose chasing incident but I DO HAVE a video of the Fjords idly watching a sow Black Bear and her cubs raid our apple tree... all photographed IN THE SAME FRAME!! (maybe 30 feet apart) and the Fjords nonchalantly walking toward the bear, who turned tail and ran! HAH

Fjords are perfect for mountain trail riding because they are fearless! (outside of the occasional Llama and round ended log. =))
