those of you who live in areas that have very cold winters.....do you ever
let their mane go natural in the winter?
Hi,
I am in northern WI and have always made sure the mane was trimmed
rather short before the real cold set in. This pretty much kept it from
getting too long and flopping over before spring warm up. Unless you
are very fussy about the mane, you can always just whack at it in the
cold just to get it shortened up. This year because I am in a wheel
chair longer than expected, I may let her mane grow out till spring just
to see how she looks. Then I think I will have to cut it way down and
retrain it to stand up straight.
