Hi List,
Just so no one thinks a lot of us don't pay attention to discussions I
decided to write a short note. I personally find all this argueing about the
logo silly and a waste of time. I respect all those who have written in
however. I think the old logo is fine but it was never my favorite as I agree
it is
too busy. After doing promo products for three years with the PNFPG I found
it very enjoyable working with artists to create some nice artwork we could
use on products for the group. During this time we actually purchased a
particular logo that encompassed four fjord disciplines ( draft, english,
western,
and driving. I am not necessarily suggesting we use that one but I am
suggesting that it would hurt no one to look at and consider other options.
Perhaps
after this is done the original one will be kept, perhaps a newer design will
be
chosen. We all love the breed and want it represented in the best manner,
let us also behave with the best of manners. We are friends, neighbors,
acquaintences, list dwellers, and members of an organization. As with most
problems
there is usually an acceptable solution if creative, interested folks work
together on it. Let us listen to what the folks we elected have to say and
respond respectfully, offering opinions and comments when needed. I am not
going
to be diminished or my interest in fjords diminished if the logo is changed or
kept, I doubt many of you will be either. There are simply too many other
important fjord things to be excited about! Whether you enjoy your treasured
fjord at home, enjoy showing, are involved with the evaluations, or are
strictly
breeders..there is room for everyone. I wish all of you the best and look
forward to seeing many of you in Sept. at Libby.:)
