This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Looks to me that the QH has gone full circle, is this > what the Fjord folks want to do go 30 ish years trying to make a great thing > better and than end up back where started? That's a lot of effort.
I think the QH industry did just that - go full circle. But while traveling that circle they sure came up with some very fine horses - think of the influence of Rugged Lark - Not to mention Swift Solo, Fern Dancer and Geeta's Cat the list goes on and on. We won't loose the original Fjord - whatever we perceive it to be. If as breeders you do what you vision and have a clear goal. Don't breed haphazardly - have a plan, educate yourselves, study, look and listen. Study bloodlines and learn what is thrown by certain horses - breed for those particular traits. Know what your breeding and try to get the results. Evaluations are a good place to learn and there is one in one week in La Crosse. See ya there!
