Dear Listers;

Just wanted to give you a "heads up".......

Last night we discovered Lena had a wood tick infestation on her tail bone that is unbelievable! We found ticks, scabby spots and what looked like "debris" left behind by the ticks.

One more thing about the tick problem. Watch your horses for any change. Not eating and shifting of weight on feet. This is how Heidi got erlickosis (sp) and they can go down hill very fast from this. The cure is simple antibodic over a 10 day stretch or so. Wood ticks carry this.
