One way that it might work would be if you are willing to just get your
mare trained, but not bred. There have been numerous people on this
list that have stated they would like a Fjord, but can't afford one.
Perhaps there is a horse trainer out there that would be willing to
acquire their very own Fjord by bartering as you describe.
