You make some excellent points. And for the others out there. If you have one of these "started but not finished" horses, put a few months on him or her with a trainer like Pat (or Pat!) and see just what it's like to ride a well trained horse - even if you ride casually. You'll enjoy your horse that much more. If you are trying to sell a horse - get it trained. You'll get more for him and you won't be doing the buyer (who many times is new to horses as well) a disservice.
