This message is from: "jgayle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I chose the stallions for two of my horses, but I had my riding horse going so that when he aged the young horse was ready for riding. No "long wait" and when the next foal was five I was ready for her also. But I taught them their ground manners and good behavior. But no amount of teaching ever changed my big boy. He had to be handled/ridden by a man and only now in his twenties is he gentle. But was he ever spectacular. The mare was gentle and always well behaved. Some of it is obviously in the genes.
Some of us do not always have time to "wait." Jean Jean Walters Gayle Aberdeen, WA Author:The Colonel's Daughter Occupied Germany 1946-49 $20 PO Box 104 Montesano, WA 98563
