If I am not mistaken this is also what Ceacy Henderson was feeding her horses when she had all of the trouble. They decided (I think this is right) that one of the bales had been ripped open and it allowed some bacteria to get growing in it. I am not positive but I think it was botulisim. Sue Giagiari is this the same stuff Ceacy was using?
