I just got off the phone with our Farrier and he recommended a product for our Arab mare's cracked hoof (hairline right down the front), called "Clean Trax". It is supposed to clean out the crack of all bacteria. Once this is done she can be re-shod and then the hoof will grow out and theoretically the crack will disappear.
