This message is from: Jean Ernest <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Marion, Congratulations on your Hansje! She sounds like a very nice fjord. I think it is so interesting how she reacted to the mirror. Maybe a mirror would be a help for a single lonely fjord?
One summer I rode my gelding BJorken in a dressage clinic where there was a mirror. He was the only fjord there. When he saw himself in the mirror he whinnied and wanted to be at that end. I think it made him feel more at home to see "another fjord"! Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, where we're having a major snow event, at least 8 inches have fallen and still snowing, anoher 6 expected. +15F degrees. (sure better than -40!) >I brought Hansje safe home yesterday, with the sweat in my palms, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I later let her loose in the inside riding place and when she >dicovered the mirror she would no more leave it, thinking it were her >fellow Fjords from where she came. Every time she started to walk away >she neighed at the mirror and run back as fast as she could. > ************************************************************ Jean Ernest Fairbanks, Alaska [EMAIL PROTECTED]
