First of all, my condolences on the recent loses of these fine mares. I, too, have an "antique" daughter of King Harald---Nansy is now 30 (I understand that her mother, Skade, made 34), and it's going to be a very sad time around here when she goes. Hugs! Seems to me that stories of that sort were told a lot, back in the horse-working era. One teammate died, and the other soon followed. Or, the team was broken up, and both pined away. Makes me wonder what'll happen with my husband's gelding, who seems to think Nansy is his mommy (they're only distantly related---thru King Harald).
